Power Supplies and Accessories

Securitron offers a number of high quality power supplies. Their power supplies are offered under two main lines, BPS linear power supplies, and their premium quality AccuPower switching power supplies. Each of these product lines is made to suit your entrance security needs. BPS linear power supplies fit into a wide variety of applications, including CCTV, entrance security, alarm systems, and a host of other security applications. For instance, the BPSS power supply uses a combination of solar and battery power to power any single point access control device and fail secure lock. AccuPower switching power supplies are another top quality power supply made for use in a variety of applications. They feature both single and dual voltage power supplies, depending on the requirements of your installation. They work with a number of devices including electromagnetic locks, card readers, electric strikes, and other access control devices. Both of these lines of products are manufactured with your needs in mind.

With the AQE Single Port Midspan Injector you can have the flexibility of Power over Ethernet (PoE) without needing to replace your non-PoE network switches. The AQE injector merges power with data by working between your network and any PoE capable access control or security devices. The devices gain both network access and power through the injector. Your security cameras, door controllers, and other equipment will no longer be tied down to electrical outlets! They can be installed right where they need to be.

The AQE lets you instantly assess the status of the unit with a green on-board LED. This light should be on during normal operation, so if it's off there's either no power to the unit, or no connection on the PoE or data port. There are multiple flash patterns to indicate when the signature resistance is too low, too high, or when there is a port overload fault. It also has a reset feature, in case you need to shut down the PoE. The PCBs are made of fiberglass to better protect the environment.

The AQE injector is low voltage, and works with 24 VAC or 24 VDC input, plus or minus 15%. The input current is either 1.4 or 2.6 Amps. The output is 50 VDC, with either 300 or 600mA of current. The shutdown terminals run from 5 to 24 VDC, with a 10mA maximum. The AQE is 10/100/1000 data rate Base-T compliant, and the maximum data cable length is 100 meters or 328 feet. The injector operates between -32 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, or 0 to 49 degrees Celsius.

The AQE15 has 1.4 Amps of input, with 24 VAC or VDC input voltage. Its output current is 300mA and its data rate is 10/100. The AQE30 has 2.6 input Amps with 24 VAC or VDC input voltage. Its output current is 600mA and its data rate is 10/100/1000. The storage temperature should be between -20 and 70 degrees Celsius. They are 4.2" long by 2.5" wide and 1.2" deep. The AQE15 weights about 0.25 lbs, and the AQE30 weighs 0.30 lbs.

If there is ever an issue with the product, it is protected by the MagnaCare lifetime replacement, no fault warranty.

The AQE injector's listings include:

The AQE Rack Mount Injector series takes the flexibility and convenience of Power over Ethernet (PoE) and adds centralized, remote monitoring of the power supplied to PoE devices like security cameras, door controllers, and other similar products. These units feature an easy plug and play installation, and sixteen ports with a 10/100/1000 Mbps data rate with up to 32W per IEEE.802at port. They can build up to 256W of total power in the AQE250R model, and up to 540W in the AQE500R model.

With this series you can monitor and manage the power status online from any location and receive automated email alerts. Through the browser interface you can remotely shutdown PoE on any individual port, or on all of them together. There are still LEDs on the physical unit that indicate port status visually to diagnose issues while on-site. They light up as green when things are running normally, yellow when there is no powered device connection or a fault condition, and are off when the port is disabled. There are also safety features that protect from overtemperature, overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit conditions. The system is even able to identify and protect non-PoE devices.

The AQE Rack Mount series can be mounted into a 19' rack as the name suggests, or they can be mounted on a wall. Brackets are included with the unit. They operate with an extended temperature range that goes up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, or 50 degrees Celsius. There is an illuminated master power switch and circuit breaker. These units are also covered by the MagnaCare lifetime replacement, no fault warranty if anything ever goes wrong with them.

Both the AQE250R and AQE500R accept AC or DC input power and have integrated battery chargers. The AQE250R needs an input voltage of 100-240 VAC, and input current of 4.5A maximum, and an AC frequency of 47 to 63 Hz. It requires a DC input voltage of 50 VDC give or take 10%, and a current of 7A maximum. The battery backup input voltage is 48 VDC nominal. The model has a BTU rating of 116 BTU/hr. The AQE500R needs an input voltage of 100-240VAC with a 9A maximum current and an AC frequence of 47 to 63 Hz. It needs a DC input voltage of 50 VDC give or take 10%, and a current of 14A maximum. Its battery backup has an input voltage of 48 VDC nominal. It has an BTU rating of 232 BTU/hr. The 250R ships at 12 lbs, while the 500R ships at 14lbs.

The AQE Rack Mount Injector series features the following certifications:

  • FCC part 15, Class A
  • EN 55022 Class A (Emissions)
  • EN55024 (Immunity)
  • UL/CUL 60950-1
  • 802.at
  • CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1
  • RoHS compliant

The Securitron PSP filtered regulated plug-in power supply is perfect for a variety of DC powered devices that require clean, reliable low voltage. The PSP-12-3 and PSP-24-1.5 are mid-sized models of this type of power supply, at 4-1/8" long, 1-3/4" wide, and 1-1/8" deep.

At that size, they provide a solid 36 watts of continuous output, and are highly efficient due to its switchmode regulated power feature. The PSP-12-3 is the 12 volt model with 3A maximum capacity. The PSP-24-15 is a 24 volt model with 1.5A maximum capacity. For both the input voltage should be 100 VAC to 240 VAC.

The PSP filtered regulated power supplies have a folding two prong AC connector for easy storage that minimizes any damage to the prongs that might compromise the power flow. A 6 foot/1.8 meter output cable is included, so it can't reach far from an outlet without an extension cable.

Both models are UL listed, and are covered by the MagnaCare lifetime replacement policy, with no fault warranty so you'll never have to worry even if the product does have any issues.

It can be tough to find power supplies for DC powered devices that have minimal power needs, and need that power from an outlet. These DC devices deserve a reliable current from a quality product, and luckily Securitron has you covered with the perfect solution: their small PSP plug-in power supply. There are two models, the PSP-12 and the PSP-24, which fit a lot of power into a 2-1/2" long, 1-1/16" deep, 1-11/16" wide unit.

Don't let the size fool you, though. The PSP-12 offers 12 VDC with a 700 mA maximum capacity, and the PSP-24 offers 24 volts with a 350 mA maximum capacity. The input voltage for both models should be between 120 and 240 VAC.

The PSP power supply features an internal thermal fuse that will protect the unit and any devices it powers by shutting down the electrical current if it gets too hot. And since it's a filtered unit, it will work to make sure the voltage stays the same no matter how big the load gets. It has a 12 foot/3.6 meter output cable, so there is some freedom to move the device it powers away from the outlet, but would still require an extension cord for greater distances.

The PSP-12 and PSP-24 are UL listed and covered by Securitron's MagnaCare lifetime replacement, no fault warranty. They're made of quality materials, but even if something does happen to the product you'll be able to get a new one from Securitron with no questions asked.
