The CR Series detectors are a combination Rate-of-Rise and Fixed Temperature. The Rate-of-Rise function allows the detector to operate when the temperature at the detector increases at a rate of 15F per minute. The Fixed Temperature portion will cause the detector to operate when it reaches the applicable temperature. The Rate-of-Rise portion of the detector is restorable; however, the Fixed Temperature portion is non-restorable.
Standard detectors, hazardous site detectors, and moisture-proof detectors are all part of the Thermoflex product line. Each detector is offered with a single, multiple, open, or closed contact design. The initial "Rate-of-rise and fixed temperature operation are denoted by the letters CR in the model number. The first "CF stands for only fixed temperature. 135F and 200F are the usually fixed temperature settings. There are further units with 165F and 285F settings.
The CR200W operates similarly to the CR135W in that it combines a rate-of-rise and fixed temperature detector, but the fixed temperature component only releases when the ceiling temperature reaches 200F (93C). The rate-of-spacing rise's parameters are 70. (22 m). A black ring on its heat collection fin designates the CR200W.
