How loud is the siren on my GE Security 260-CO Carbon Monoxide Detector?

The siren built in to the GE Security 260-CO detector
sounds an 85 decibel alarm when unhealthy levels of carbon monoxide gas are reached.

(To put this in perspective, a jackhammer operating 50 feet away creates 95 decibels of noise -- so you shouldn't have any problem hearing the siren when it goes off.)

The 260-CO detector uses a temporal-4 alarm siren different from those used by smoke alarms, which notifies inhabitants of the specific hazard they're facing. The alarm beeps four times, followed by five seconds of quiet, and then repeats. When the alarm is tripped, residents should immediately vacate the room and wait for emergency personnel to arrive (if they have a monitored security system) or contact emergency personnel to locate the cause of the CO gas leak and repair it.
